Been sifting through old files and found these photos I took in 2010 while living in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. My host family had brought me along for an All Soul’s Eve celebration at a rural cemetery. People were lighting candles and placing them on graves, shooting flares and fireworks, and enjoying food being sold out of trucks parked nearby.
Few of these are sharp. Most are blurry for that matter. But there’s something I like about them. They’re haunting, playful, somber, and abstract – all at once. Figured I’d share.
